A tough trip up the road to Union County Thursday night for the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm as they took on the Bravettes in the Kentucky 2A volleyball sectional. The Bravettes advanced on, knocking off the Lady Storm in straight sets.
Union County came out and took the opening set 25-19 to go up one set to none. The second set was more of the same and ended with the same score as the Bravettes took a two set to none lead.
Union County appeared to get stronger as the evening went on and the Bravettes closed out the match by winning the third set 25-13.
For Hopkins County Central, Calijia Mason and Aalycia Stringer each had three kills. Stringer also had 9 digs and four service aces.
Hopkins Central drops to 1-5 with the loss. The Lady Storm head off to Grayson County this weekend to take part in the River Regions Showcase.
