
Trigg County’s volleyball program continues to show improvement, even though it’s not showing up in the win column just yet.
The Lady Wildcats fell to Calloway County 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-17) in the Class 2A Sectional in Murray on Thursday.
Grace Carver and Greyson Berthume each had three kills for the Lady Wildcats, while Carver added two blocks and two aces.
Sierra Williams’ stat line consisted of two aces, two kills, and five assists.
Trigg County registered 10 aces in the match, with Trinity Perkins contributing three.
Cali Jones added three kills, and seventh grader Lilah Booth had 10 digs and two aces.
Calloway County moves on in the 2A sectional and improved its record to 7-3 with its fifth straight win.
Trigg County drops to 0-5 and will play at Russellville next Thursday.
