Caldwell County’s Landon Mitchell narrowly missed claiming medalist honors against Webster County on Thursday.
Mitchell fell on a playoff hole to the Trojans’ Trace Hardison after both finished nine holes at Providence Municipal Golf Course with matching 40s.
Webster took the team competition 176-188.
For Caldwell, Brody Kirk carded a 48 while Scott Cortner and Brandon Hall each shot 50. Presten Alfred had a 51 and Lukas Harper 52.
Playing as individuals for Caldwell, Max Heaton shot 52, Brayden Schott 54 and Cohen Schott 58.
For Webster, Aiden Alstadt carded a 41, Wyatt Woodard 47, Collier Thurby 48 and Rex Whitsell 49.
