The University Heights Academy Lady Blazers put six goals on the board Saturday morning, but their offense was not the real story of the day. The UHA Lady Blazers allowed the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers just three shots on goal as the Lady Blazers took a big step towards in the top seed in the 8th District tournament with a 6-1 win at the Stadium of Champions.
If not for the slip of a defender on a run down the field for the Lady Tigers, the Lady Blazers may well have had their second consecutive shutout.

The match was a scoreless battle until the 30:00 mark when Kendall Hancock scored off an assist from Audrey Perry to give UHA a 1-0 lead. The Lady Blazers added to the lead before the half when Audrey Perry picked up her second assist of the day, setting up a goal for Skylar Cantrell at 38:30.
UHA’s defense was clamped down from the start, allowing the Lady Tigers just one shot on goal in the first 40 minutes.
Less than two minutes into the second half, Gracie Ausenbaugh took the rebound of a missed shot and put it into the back of the net and extended the UHA lead to 3–0.
Skylar Cantrell scored her second goal of the day at 50:15, this one coming off an assist from Kendall Hancock, as the lead grew to 4-0. Hancock then found the goal at the 62:00 mark on a run down the right side, stretching the lead out to 5-0.

Hopkinsville broke through at the 72:00 as Azaa Enkhtugs got by a UHA defender who slipped on the turf and then beat the keeper to cut the margin to 5-1.
The Lady Blazers got that goal back when Kendall Hancock scored a header off a corner kick from Audrey Perry to finish out the scoring at the 75:00.
For the match, the Lady Blazers outshot the Lady Tigers 25 to 3.
UHA (5-0) is set to travel to Lyon County Tuesday evening.
Hopkinsville (4-3) will be on the road Tuesdy night to take on Caldwell County.
