
Hopkins County Central finished in sixth place at Saturday’s Madisonville Cross Country Classic held on the campus of the Hanson Road school.
Sam Martin led the Storm across the finish line, completing the 3.1-mile course in 19:49.
Alex Ray came in 23rd place with a clocking of 20:18.
Jaxon Adcock finished in 33rd place with a time of 21:07.
Freshman Nolan Ray came in 64th place in 24:37, and Braxton Cline was 79th in 29:48.
Christian County’s Cayden Cline won the race in 17:23, while Paducah Tilghman took the team title with 51 points, 11 better than second-place Fort Campbell.
Hopkins County Central’s 141 points were 16 better than seventh-place Madisonville-North Hopkins and six behind fifth-place Stewart County, Tennessee.
