
Three runners in the top 25 helped Hopkins County Central finish in second place at Saturday’s Madisonville Classic.
Sophomore Cara Knight led the Lady Storm runners with a 19th-place finish in 28:26.
Maria Kerby came in 22nd place in 29:06, and Jenna Fairchild was 25th in 30:02.
Anajah Couch ran a 32:22 to place 28th, and Tamia Haynes was 29th in 32:23.
Hopkinsville’s Lauren Mayes won the race in a time of 21:20.
Hopkins County Central placed second to McCracken County in the team standings.
Hopkins County Central will host its annual Storm Invitational this Saturday morning at the school.
