The defense for the Trigg County Wildcats has been strong to open the 2025 soccer season, and that was no different Tuesday night on the road at Fort Campbell. The Wildcats limited the scoring opportunities for the Falcons and picked up a big 4-0 win over the Falcons.
The Wildcats, who are now 3-3 on the season, have given up no more than one goal in any match this season. The three losses have all been 1-0 decisions.
Trigg County got on the board for the first time Tuesday night at the 13:00 mark when Matthew Choate took a pass from James Garnett and found the net to put the Wildcats up 1-0.

The score stayed that way until 3 minutes to go in the half when Jenson Nolte scored off Nate Kelly’s first assist of the night to extend the lead to 2-0, and that would be the lead going into the break.
Kelly scored on a penalty kick at the 44:00 mark to move the margin out to 3-0. The Wildcats initially missed the penalty kick, but Fort Campbell was called for a violation and gave the Wildcats a second chance.
James Garnett then drove the final nail with a goal at the 66:00. Nate Kelly had his second assist of the night on the score.

Cam McCormick got his first shutout of the season in goal, coming up with four saves.
Trigg County (3-3) gets back to action Thursday when the Wildcats host Caldwell County.
Fort Campbell (1-3) is set to host Hopkins County Central Thursday night.
