dsc08578-2

The University Heights Lady Blazers and the Lyon County Lady Lyons faced off on Tuesday evening with both teams having just come off of a win. But it was UHA who was able to keep their win streak alive and remain undefeated on the season.

Half of the Lady Blazers’ goals came from Kendall Hancock, who was absolutely on fire. Skylar Cantrell had two goals, while Audrey Perry and Maggie Mohon each had one. Their defense was also able to play very solid, as they did not allow a shot on goal.

As for the Lady Lyons, just because they were shut out does not mean that they did not have their bright spots. Perhaps the brightest was their goalkeeper, Richmond Herring, who was still able to tally 25 saves over the course of the game.

They will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Friday, September 5, against Webster County. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Lee S. Jones Park.

As for the Lady Blazers, they will hope to remain undefeated when they go up against the Marshall County Lady Marshals at home on Friday, September 5. Their game is also scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
