UHA’s Tylin George Heading to North Carolina Prep School

One of the state’s top scorers and the leading contender for 2nd Region player of the year in 2025-2026 is now headed out of state. Family members have confirmed to YourSportsEdge.Com that Tylin George is leaving University Heights Academy and headed to Moravian Prep.

Moravian Prep is a college preparatory basketball program located in Hudson, North Carolina. It is affiliated with Carolina Christian College. The school states it focuses on both academics and athletics to prepare students for higher education.

Moravian Prep has a partnership with Overtime Elite, a professional basketball league for high school-aged players. This partnership allows Moravian Prep players to compete in the OTE league while maintaining their amateur status and college eligibility.

George was third in the state in scoring last season, and second in the region, at just over 31 points per game during his junior season at University Heights.
