Now that is what you call scoring early and making it stand up. And, that is just what the Marshall County Marshals did Thursday night when they hosted the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons in Draffenville.
Marshall County got a goal in the opening moments and rode it all the way to the end in a 1-0 win over the Maroons.
Colton Snyder scored off an assist from Maddox Conrad just three minutes into the match for the Marshals, and that would be the scoring for the night.
The Marshall County defense did the job, limiting the opportunities for the Maroons. Marshall goalie Carson Lovett had just one save for the night.
Madisonville falls to 3-3-1 with the loss. The Maroons face another big challenge Saturday when they go on the road to take on Warren Central.
