
Having a week off was good to the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers. Playing for the first time since a homecourt loss last Thursday to Todd County Central, the Lady Tigers came back with a four-set win against McLean County Thursday night.
Hopkinsville came roaring out of the gate the easily won the first set 25-8. The Lady Tigers kept rolling in the second set, taking a 25-15 win to go up two sets to none.
The Lady Cougars battled back to win the third set 25-20. But there would be no comeback as this night belonged to the Lady Tigers.
Hopkinsville won the fourth set 25-20 and closed out the match three sets to one.
Madysen Taggart was huge on the attack, finishing with 13 kills. Lainey Stewart added five.
Alayna King ended the night with 20 assists. Kyleigh Weber added 10 digs and six service aces.
Hopkinsville improves to 2-7 with the win. The Lady Tigers will host University Heights in an 8th District contest Tuesday evening.
