Looking to bounce back from two straight defeats, the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers instead fell 5-0 on Thursday at Henderson County in a game more competitive than the final margin would suggest.
The Lady Colonels won for the 14th-straight time in the series with Hopkinsville to improve to 5-3 ahead of a trip to Evansville FJ Reitz on Saturday.
Jaleigha McFarland made 12 saves as the Lady Tigers dropped their third match in a row to slip to 4-5.
Hopkinsville will welcome North Hardin and Warren Central to the Stadium of Champions on Saturday. The Lady Tigers and Trojans have never met, while the Lady Dragons hold a narrow edge in the all-time series with five wins to Hopkinsville’s four.
