The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors volleyball team looked for their third straight win on Thursday evening against Madisonville-North Hopkins. They were not able to do that, as the Lady Maroons got the best of them in four sets.
HCA started the first set with a 4-0 lead, but quickly lost it to a Madisonville run that gave them a 5-4 lead. Both teams then traded runs until they were eventually tied at 16 points apiece. After that, Madisonville went on a big run that gave them the 25-19 win in first set.
The same kind of thing happened in the second set, as the teams ended up being tied at 14 after some back and forth. But after that, The Lady Maroons were able to go on another big run and take the set 25-18.
Even more back-and-forth in the third set led to the team teams being tied at 19 points late. This time, it was HCA that was able to go on the run, as they took their first set of the game 25-20.
But it was not enough, as Madisonville was able to claw back from an 11-5 deficit to start the fourth set and win the game.
The Lady Maroons will look for their third straight win in their next one on Monday, September 8, against the Todd County Central Lady Rebels on the road. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
As for the Lady Warriors, they will be hoping they can bounce back against the Lady Tigers of Caldwell County on Friday, September 5. Their game is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Heritage Christian Academy.
