
For the first time in school history, Heritage Christian Academy is headed to the state All A Classic volleyball tournament.
The Lady Warriors knocked off both Crittenden County and University Heights Academy on Saturday to capture the 2nd Region All A championship.
Heritage Christian, now 9-4, did not drop a set in the regional small-school tournament.
HCA bounced Caldwell County 25-21, 25-23 in quarterfinal round action Friday night in Hopkinsville.

The event then moved to Livingston Central for the semifinals Saturday morning, with the Lady Warriors taking out Crittenden County 26-24, 25-21.
Meanwhile, University Heights outlasted Fort Campbell in three sets, 19-25, 25-23, 15-6, in the other semifinal.
In the finals, the Lady Blazers (4-7) led for much of the first set before HCA came back win it 25-23. The Lady Warriors then held off UHA 25-17 in the second set to finish off the championship.
Heritage Christian will play in the state All A tournament next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12-13, at the Owensboro Convention Center.

Hadlee Hayes had seven kills, five digs and four aces in the title tilt for HCA while Bralee Fowler added six kills, a block and 13 digs.
Makenzie McCarty had three kills, 11 assists and eight digs. Taylor Barbee had two kills. Charity Chambers had eight digs.
For UHA in the final, Audrey Lovell had five kills and five digs while Meg Long had four kills.
Niyati Patel and Niyona Brown each had three kills.
Gretchen Durham recorded 10 assists, a block and five digs.

HCA 2, Crittenden 0
Heritage Christian advanced to the championship match by claiming two tight sets from Crittenden County.
Hayes had six kills and nine digs in the win while Fowler added four kills.
McCarty had three kills and eight digs. Emma Dalke added three kills. Hannah Phelps had two kills.
Allie Craft recorded eight digs. Chambers tallied six digs and Barbee had five digs.
Chambers and McCarty each had eight assists.

UHA 2, Fort Campbell 1
Long had five kills in the Lady Blazers’ win over Fort Campbell in the semifinals.
The Lady Falcons (5-2) appeared to have momentum after taking the first set, but UHA extended the match with the 25-23 win in the second set.
Fort Campbell won the first two points of the third set before UHA stormed back to take the match.
Long had five kills in that match. Patel had three kills.
Durham totaled 13 assists, two blocks and seven digs.
Lovell and Cassidy Keller each had seven digs. Brown had three blocks.

For Fort Campbell, Baylee Backes had three kills and eight digs while D’Lyla Melton had three kills and six digs.
Leilani Crawford and Ava Moore each totaled two kills. Samantha Carrico had 15 digs.
Makayla Galvez had 11 assists.
Fort Campbell reached the semifinals by besting Livingston Central 25-17, 25-20 Friday night in Smithland.
