The Todd County Central Lady Rebels are headed back to the sectional round of the All A Classic girls soccer tournament. The Lady Rebels advanced Saturday by running past Clinton County 5-0 in the 4th Region championship match in Bowling Green.
Todd County Central took the lead for good with a goal from Varina Rager at the 18:28 mark of the first half to go up 1-0. That would be the only score for either team in the first 40 minutes.
Katherine Caprio got things going for the Lady Rebels in the second half as the lead grew to 2-0. Anna Ellis scored her first two career goals in the second half and Jaidyn Holland added a penalty kick after Clinton County was penalized for a player picking up the ball in the box.
Katelynn Cortes came up big in goal for the Lady Rebels, finishing the day with the shutout.
Todd County Central (4-4) will take on Owensboro Catholic Saturday in the sectional round of the All A Classic in Elkton.
