Calloway Stays Undefeated With Win Over Hopkinsville

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers soccer team went up against the very strong Calloway County Lady Lakers on Monday evening, and they were not able to get the best of the undefeated team.

Calloway was able to score seven goals in the first half, with the last coming with less than a minute left on the clock. After that, all it took was one more quick goal following the halftime break to seal the 8-0 mercy rule victory for the Lady Lakers.

As for the Lady Tigers, there were some players that still stood out despite the loss. The main one was goalkeeper Jaleigha McFarland, who had a solid game in the net with 25 saves. Hopkinsville was without three of their starters, which is not a good time to go up against a Calloway team who is now 10-0.

They will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Thursday, September 11, against the Lady Lyons of Lyon County. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Stadium of Champions soccer fields.
