
Alexis Herrera-Lovato turned in her first top-five finish on the cross-country course in 13 months at Saturday’s Hopkins County Central Storm Invitational.
The senior completed the 3.1-mile course in a time of 23:22, good for fifth place.
Ohio County’s Lexi Hill won the race with a time of 21:48.
Kaydon Coats, running her first race of the season, came in 12th place in 24:46. Evelyn Bangart, also running her first race of the season, was 16th with a time of 24:46.
Lauren Mayes came in 20th place with a time of 25:59, and Luanna Acree was 60th in 32:41.
As a team, Hopkinsville totaled 83 points to finish seven points behind third-place Muhlenberg County and 35 points ahead of fifth-place Todd County Central.
Warren East edged Union County by two points to win the team title.
