
The University Heights Academy girls’ golf team finished in third place Saturday at the All A Classic State Tournament played at the Arlington Club in Richmond.
Campbell Lindsey tied for 11th place with a 13-over-par 85. Her round included a birdie on the front nine as part of a 41.
Allie Sandifer tied for 17th place with a 17 over par 89.
Caroline Tucker brought home a top 20 finish with a score of 92. And seventh grader Ella Perry tied for 33rd place with a score of 100.
Cumberland County’s Kinzee Willen won the tournament with a four-under-par 68, which was three shots better than defending champion Madison Glisson of Ballard Memorial.
As a team, UHA had a team score of 366. Lexington Christian won the state title with a score of 299, followed by Owen County with a 323.
