The Todd County Central cross country team came in 8th place at Saturday’s Hopkins County Central Storm Invitational just outside of Mortons Gap.
The first Rebel across the finish line was Thatcher Moore in 38th place. He edged his teammate, Ethan Johnson, by a half second. Both ran a time of 20:35 over the 3.1-mile course.
Liam Groves came in 49th place in a time of 21:25, two seconds ahead of his teammate Mac Griffith.
Elijah Tucker was 68th in 23:33, while Angel Gonzalez was 76th with a time of 24:10.
Harrison Higgins came in 81st place in 24:4,4 while Thomas Dillingham was 95th, Tyler Driskell was 96th, and Zach Wilson came in 100th place.
The Rebels finished in eighth place with a team total of 188 points, six points behind the Bluegrass Blazers Homeschool and nine points ahead of ninth-place Stewart County, Tennessee.
Union County’s Thomas Davis won the race in a time of 17:09.
