Veyda Grinols continued her strong start to her inaugural cross country season with an eighth-place finish at Saturday’s McCracken County Cross Country Invitational just outside of Paducah.
The Trigg County sophomore completed the 3.1-mile course in a time of 21:56, good for eighth place. In just two weeks, she has knocked 2 minutes and 15 seconds off her time.
Sophia Quinteros came in 21st place for the Lady Wildcats with a time of 22:54, while her sister Luci was 27th in 23:52.
Allayah Hargrove came in 36th place with a time of 25:21, Ella Dollison was 39th in 26:05, and Kalin Kingston was 63rd for the Lady Wildcats.
Trigg County totaled 102 points to finish in fifth place, 14 points behind fourth-place Dawson Springs.
