
The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons picked up their third win in their last four matches Tuesday evening. The Lady Maroons rebounded from a tough loss at Todd Central and came back by getting a straight-set win on the road at Union County.
The opening set came down to the final points as the Lady Maroons fought their way to a 25-23 win. They carried that momentum over to a 25-15 win in the second set to go up two sets to none.
Madisonville closed out the match with another battle in the third set, ultimately taking the set 25-22 and the match three sets to none.
A big night for Leah Moody, who had 6 kills/8 assist/6 digs/3 aces. K. B. Sutton ended up with 8 kills/3 digs/5 aces.
Cadence Curry chipped in with 2 kills/9 assists/1 dig/3 aces. Sadie Kirk also had a solid night on the court for the Lady Maroons with5 kills/1 block/1 assist/1 ace.
Carlee Sandidge gave a big effort at keeping the ball in play with 11 digs.
Madisonville-North Hopkins (6-8) is set to be back in action Thursday night when the Lady Maroons host Henderson County.
