The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm got off to a slow start Tuesday night in their match against Webster County, and it was one they could not recover from. The Lady Trojans came into Mortons Gap and took a straight-set win over the Lady Storm.
Webster opened fast, taking the first set 25-14. The Lady Trojans were even stronger in the second set, winning 25-9 to go up two sets to none.
The Lady Storm battled back and had a shot to get the third set, but Webster County found the way to get the job done and completed the sweep with a 25-23 win.
Aalycia Stringer led Hopkins Central at the net with six kills. Izzy Gunn added 5. Stringer also had three blocks and five digs.
The Lady Storm (1-11) go on the road Thursday for a district contest at Caldwell County.
