The Lyon County Lyons made the trip to Mayfield on Thursday but suffered a 9-0 setback to the Cardinals.
Jason Melendez had a hat trick for Mayfield in a contest that was stopped at halftime because of the mercy rule.
It was the second straight win for the Cardinals, who are now 4-5.
Lyon has dropped two straight and is now 1-10.
The Lyons have a big 5th District date coming up on Monday when they visit Trigg County.
