The Heritage Christian Lady Warriors went into their Monday evening matchup with the McLean County Lady Cougars looking to break their six-game losing streak, and they were able to do just that and claim victory in three sets.
All three sets were fairly close, with their scores being 25-20, 25-23, and 25-17, but all of them went to the Lady Warriors. And in those sets, some members of HCA were able to put up some very impressive stats.
When it came to assists, Mackenzie McCarty had it covered, as she had 28, which accounted for all but one of the team’s total set assists. As for kills, Hadlee Hayes, Bralee Fowler, Emma Dalke, and Taylor Barbee combining for the team’s 32, with Barbee leading the way with 12.
The team will be looking to start a win streak in their next game on Tuesday, September 23, against the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons on the road. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Fort Campbell.
