For more than 22 minutes of the match Monday evening, it looked as if the Fort Campbell Falcons and the University Heights Academy Blazers might be setting up an encore performance from a match in August 2024. That night, the Blazers dominated the flow of play and had 29 shots to one, but only snuck off post with a 1-0 win in the All A Classic.

Monday night, the Blazers were again dominating the flow of play and getting plenty of shots on goal, but just could not get the ball to find the net as the match stayed scoreless. Scoreless that is until 22:48 of the first half, and then the Blazer hit the Falcons with the first of two scoring blitzes, one in each half.

Hayden Hunt found the net in traffic to put UHA up 1-0 to get things started. Just 29 seconds later, Graham Conrad scored the first of his two goals on the night to push the lead out to 2-0.

Less than two minutes later, at the 25:05 mark, Hayden Hunt scored again to make it 3-0. The blitz ended when Clayton Lester made one of the great plays of the night, gaining control of a corner kick with his right foot and, in the same motion, drilled a shot into the net, moving the lead to 4-0.

UHA then closed out the match with a similar scoring blitz in the second half.

At 51:00, Hayden Hunt completed his hat trick to give the Blazers a 5-0 lead. Just over 2 ½ minutes later, Hunt assisted on a score by Lincoln Hauret that extended the Blazer lead to 6-0.

Clayton Lester sent a long rocket shot into the net for his second goal of the night at 56:49. Graham Conrad then ended the match with his second goal of the night at 60:28 to get to the 8-goal rule.

The win moves the Blazers to 9-1 on the season. They go on the road to take on Murray Tuesday night. The Tigers are coming off winning the Kentucky 2A state championship on Sunday in Owensboro.

Fort Campbell drops to 3-6 and will go on the road Thursday to take on Logan County.
