This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of September 8 is University Heights Academy’s Hayden Hunt. Hayden was selected based on his efforts at last Monday night’s All A Classic sectional round game against Mayfield.
Hunt scored the game-winning goal of the match with just over 11 minutes to go when he headed in a corner kick that put the Blazers up 3-2 and allowed them to punch their ticket to Louisville.
Hunt also helped the Blazers get started in the match, providing an assist on Lincoln Hauret’s goal that put UHA up 1–0.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Heritage Christian, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
