The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers and Todd County Central Lady Rebels volleyball teams faced off on Mmodany evening, and the latter was able to get the win in three sets for a bounce-back win.
The first set of the game was all Todd County, as they were able to win 25-12. The second was closer at 25-22, but still went to the Lady Rebels. The third and final set was more or less the same as the first, ending the set with a score of 25-11.
Allyssa Wofford finished with 14 kills, and Aubri Penick added 11 for Todd County Central. Shelby Holderman set the table well, finishing with 33 assists.
The loss does not mean that Hopkinsville was without its good performers, as Alayna King led the team in assists with five, Madysen Taggart led in kills with four, and Kyleigh Weber was able to get an impressive five aces over the course of the game.
The Lady Tigers will be looking to break their three-game losing streak in their next one on Tuesday, September 16, against the University Heights Lady Blazers. Their game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at UHA.
As for the Lady Rebels, they will be hoping they can secure their second straight win in their next game against Franklin-Simpson at home on Tuesday, September 16. That game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
