Lady Wildcats Defeat Russellville in Straight Sets

The Trigg County Lady Wildcats defeated Russellville in straight sets on Monday for their second victory of the volleyball season.

Trigg County won the first set 25-18, the second set 25-20, and the third set 25-17.

Grace Carver was strong at the net for the Lady Wildcats with six kills, while Trinity Perkins and Cali Jones each contributed four kills.

Trigg County recorded 17 aces in the match, led by six from Chloe Adams, and three each from McKenzie Gugeski and Sierra Williams.

Adams had nine assists, and Williams chipped in with eight, while Lilah Booth had eight digs.

The win is Trigg County’s third straight over Russellville and improves its season record to 2-8, doubling its win total from last year at the midway point of this season.

Trigg County will host Hopkins County Central on Tuesday.
