
The Trigg County Lady Wildcats ran its unbeaten streak to seven games following an 8-0 district win over Lyon County on Monday at Josh Nichols Field.
The Lady Wildcats wrapped up the top seed in the district tournament, which will be hosted by Lyon County next month.
Leiah Hite scored four goals to run her season total to 37. Her first tally came on Trigg’s first shot four minutes into the contest.
Landie Hite added her first goal of the season a minute later to push the Lady Wildcat lead to 2-0.

Leiah Hite added two more goals in the first half, one on a perfectly placed pass from Maggie Wolfe, who later assisted Landie Hite on Trigg’s fifth goal of the half.
Addison Humphries added the natural hat trick in the second half for Trigg’s three goals. Leiah Hite added two assists for the Lady Wildcats, whose last loss came to Murray in the Class 2A Sectional on August 26.
Lyon County (3-7) has a district rematch with Crittenden County on Thursday in Marion. The Lady Lyons lost to the Lady Rockets 9-3 on August 18 in a non-district game in the All A Classic Region Tournament. They bounced back with a 5-1 win a week later.
Trigg County (10-2-1) will host Clarksville Northeast on Tuesday and play Todd County Central on Thursday for its senior night.
