Campbell Lindsey prepared for next week’s region golf tournament by claiming medalist honors in a four-team match Tuesday at Boots Randolph Golf Course at Lake Barkley State Park.
The University Heights Academy sophomore shot a career-best 1-under par 35 to defeat Trigg County’s Emma Dowell by three shots.
Jenna Coursey of Lyon County and Caroline Tucker of UHA each shot a 41.
UHA and Trigg County both fielded full teams, with the Lady Blazers taking team honors 172-199.
UHA will play in the Region 2 Tournament on Monday at the Henderson Country Club, while Trigg County, Calloway County, and Lyon County will play in the Region 1 Tournament on Monday at Rolling Hills in Paducah.
