The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers soccer team was looking for their second win in a row going into their game on Thursday. Unfortunately, they faced off against the 14-1 Franklin-Simpson Lady Wildcats, who were able to keep Hopkinsville from starting a win streak.
Kaydon Coats had a very solid day with two goals, and Kaylyn Lynch added a score of her own. But it was not enough to combat the red-hot offense of the Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Tigers’ starting goalkeeper was also out with an injury, so the team had to use a couple players in net. Kaylynn Schwartz and Karla Quintanilla both got some time on the field and had a combined nine saves.
Hopkinsville will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Tuesday, September 23, against the Lady Storm of Hopkins County Central. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Stadium of Champions soccer fields.
