
The Webster County Lady Trojans have become one of the hottest volleyball teams in the 2nd Region. The Lady Trojans went on the road Thursday night and picked up a four-set win over the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons.
The Lady Trojans came out firing right from the very start, taking the opening set 25-12.
The Lady Maroons took Webster County down to the very end in the second before the Lady Trojans took the set 25-23 and went up two sets to none.
Madisonville fought to get back in the match and claimed the third set 25-17 to make it two sets to one.
The fourth set was a carbon copy of the second, coming down to the final points. Again, it was the Lady Trojans pulling it out at the end 26-24 and closing out the match three sets to one.
Sadie Kirk led the Lady Maroon attack at the net with 8 kills. Leah Moody added six. Moody and Curry finished with 10 assists each. K.B. Sutton ended the match with three service aces.
Madisonville (7-10) heads to the Paducah Convention Center Friday and Saturday for the annual Quad State tournament.
