Caldwell Volleyball Falls 3-0 at Henderson County

Caldwell County’s girls played well early, but could not take a set at Henderson County in volleyball action on Thursday.

Instead, the Lady Colonels turned away Caldwell in the first set and went on to claim a 26-24, 25-12, 25-10 victory.

Henderson is now 16-4 on the season while the Lady Tigers are 7-7.

Chevy McGowan had four kills, two digs and an ace for Caldwell while Alaiyaa Shearer had three kills and three blocks.

Med Thomas recorded three kills and four digs. Troy Freeman tallied two kills and three digs. Grace Watson had a kill and two blocks.

Kylee White had 14 assists, eight digs and an ace. Mycah Riddle totaled 12 digs and a kill. Maddie Cooper had five digs. Ellie King aded four digs and Tink Clark had three digs.

For Henderson, Evangeline Loffland had nine kills, a block, 13 digs and three aces in the win. Caeson Hargitt totaled eight kills, four digs and three blocks.

Emmy Sword recorded six kills, 11 digs, two aces and a block, with Lillianne Clark tallied five kills, three digs and a block.

The Lady Colonels also got 20 digs, two assists and an ace from Ella Whitledge. Kylee Lyons had two kills, six digs and two blocks. Lilly Payne added a kill and three blocks.

Kamryn Raley totaled 15 assists, four digs and an ace while Addi Kirtley finished with 13 assists and 11 digs.

Caldwell had won a five-set thriller against Henderson in the first round of the 2nd Region tournament last season, taking the final set 15-13.

But the Lady Colonels now lead the all-time series 25-13.

The Lady Tigers will play this weekend in the Quad State 2025 at the Paducah Convention Center.

Caldwell will face Carlisle County and Ohio County in pool play Friday night. Action will then continue Saturday morning.
