A big effort Saturday for Hopkinsville’s Tyson Cavinder at the Owensboro Invitational. Cavinder finished his run in a time of 17:26.50, which was good enough for a second place finish in the boys’ race.
Webster County’s Landon Higdon won the boys’ race in a time of 17:07.31.
Other finishes for the Tigers were Savior Davis placing 12th, Levi Johnston in 34th place, Fernando Ginez Rojas in 35th, and Jacob Carter came in 60th.
Overall, the Tigers placed 6th in the meet as a team.
Webster County took the team title with 51 points, while Muhlenberg County was second with 71 points.
