The Fort Campbells Falcons and Todd County Central Rebels soccer teams faced off on Monday evening, and it was the latter that was able to bounce back from a loss in their lost game with a 3-0 victory.
The first goal of the game came 10 minutes into the first half when Todd County’s Spencer Pool put one into the back of the net. Pool was then able to launch a throw-in all the way to the net where John Ross Cardwell was able to score seven minutes later.
Todd County’s third and final goal of the game came from a corner kick that Fort Campbell accidentally kicked into their own net. That was the final goal of the game, as the Rebels were able to keep the 3-0 lead and get the win over the Falcons.
They will be looking to keep the momentum going in their final game of the regular season, which will be against the Trigg County Wildcats on Thursday, October 2. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Trigg County Recreational Complex.
As for the Falcons, they will be hoping that they can bounce back in their next game on Tuesday, September 30, against the Caldwell County Wildcats on the road. That game will be their second-to-last of the season, and will begin at 5:30 p.m.
