Webster County finished in ninth place at Monday’s Region 2 golf tournament, held at the Henderson Country Club.
The Lady Trojans’ team score of 442 was 16 points behind eighth-place Owensboro.
The top finisher for the Lady Trojans was Rory Jones, who tied for 31st place with a score of 102.
Kamryn Hayes shot a 107 to finish in 36th place, and Braghen Sloat tied for 41st place with a 114.
Kelsey Hanor tied for 44th place with a 119, and Reagan Corbitt tied for 47th place with a 125.
Henderson County’s Meryl Grogan took medalist honors with a 1-under par 71 to finish one shot ahead of Daviess County’s Claire Reynolds.
The start of Monday’s match was delayed four hours due to heavy rain and lightning. The golfers got in just over three hours on the course before a nearly one-hour delay halted play just after the golfers made the turn around 3:40.
Play wrapped up just before seven o’clock as another storm rolled through the Henderson area.
