Leiah Hite scored six goals in Trigg County’s 9-1 win over Crittenden County on Monday as she nears both the school’s single-season and career scoring records.
Trigg County built a 7-1 halftime lead with Addison Humphries, Landie Hite, and Alani Mayes also scoring goals for the Lady Wildcats.
Hite, who already owns the school’s career assist mark with 104, added three more on Monday. Her six goals give her 51 for the season and 144 for her career. She moved past Lauren Frazier (140) into second place on the school’s career scoring list with 144, only one goal behind her sister Lania, who played from 2020-23. Lania also holds the 5th District scoring record.
Leiah’s 51 goals this season are five fewer than Lania’s single-season record of 56 set in 2023.
Maggie Wolfe contributed five assists, bringing her career total to 48, ranking second only to Leiah Hite’s also growing total.
Kiley Slone made four saves in goals for the Lady Wildcats, who completed a 4-0 regular season district mark with their 19th straight victory over district opposition.
Ella Geary scored Crittenden’s lone goal off an assist from Kylie Bloodworth for her team-leading 23rd goal of the season and the 75th of her Lady Rocket career.
It’s been a season of milestones for the Lady Wildcat soccer program, which won its 200th career game on Sept. 8 at Graves County. Head coach Jason Hite became the program’s winningest coach in just his third season at the helm with a record of 46-11-2.
Crittenden County (6-7-1) will be the No. 3 seed in the district tournament next month at Lyon County. The Lady Rockets will host Hopkinsville on Thursday.
Trigg County (13-2-1) will play at Kirkwood, Tennessee, on Tuesday.
