The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons soccer team faced off against the Owensboro Red Devils on Tuesday evening. Unfortunately they were not able to snap their losing streak, as they went down in a very close game.
The Red Devils were able to get the best of the Maroons with a score of 1-0, which is still impressive for Madisonville considering that Owensboro was 13-0-2.
Giving a team like Owensboro who had not lost all season as good of a game as they did is something that Madisonville will be hoping they can take into their next game to break this losing streak.
Their next one will be on the road on Saturday, September 27, against North Hardin. This will be the Maroons’ second-to-last game of the regular season, and is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
