Jayden Couch was the lone Fort Campbell golfer to participate in the Region 2 golf tournament held on Tuesday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club. The Falcon freshman finished tied for 81st place with a round of 102.
His scorecard included three pars on the front nine as part of a 48.
Owensboro Catholic won the region championship with a team score of 311, which was five shots better than second-place Henderson County. Both teams will advance to next week’s KHSAA state first round at the Calvert City Country Club.
Muhlenberg County’s Cy Tudor and Owensboro Catholic’s Vince Hayden tied for top honors with a 3-over-par 74, with Tudor taking the individual title on the second playoff hole.
