The Lyon County Lady Lyons took on the Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs on Tuesday evening, and the outcome of the game came down to the final seconds, and saw a final score of 1-1.
It was a scoreless game for the vast majority, until Lyon County’s Lyla Melton was able to put one in the back of the net with just 1:43 left on the clock.
But with just a few seconds remaining, Muhlenberg was able to tie the game at one goal apiece right as the final horn sounded, and that is how the game ended.
As for the defense, Lyon County goalkeeper Richmond Herring had nine saves over the course of the game.
The Lady Lyons will be looking for their fifth win of the season in their next game on Thursday, September 25, against the Murray High Lady Tigers. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Murray High School.
