The schedule is now set for this year’s 8th District boys’ and girls’ soccer tournaments, which are being hosted by Christian County High School at the Stadium of Champions. The brackets and schedules were announced during a meeting Wednesday morning in the Media Center at Christian County High School.
The boys’ tournament will get underway Saturday morning, October 4, with the match between the #4 and the #5 seeds, the Christian County Colonels and the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors. That match is set for a 9am start at the Stadium.
The boys’ semifinals will be played Tuesday, October 7. The 5:30pm matchup will have the #2 and the #3 seeds. Fort Campbell is in the third spot, with the #2 seed still to be determined.
The second boys semifinal will have the top seed taking on the winner of the Saturday match between Christian County and Heritage Christian. The top seed is still to be determined, based on the result of the match between Hopkinsville and University Heights.
The championship game for the boys will be Thursday night at 6pm at the Stadium of Champions.
In the girls’ tournament, play will start with the semifinals on Monday, October 6. The 5:30pm contest will have top-seeded University Heights taking on #4 seed Christian County.
The second semifinal game that night will have #2 seed Hopkinsville going up against third-seeded Fort Campbell.
The girls championship match is set for Wednesday evening, October 8, at 6pm at the Stadium of Champions.
Tickets will be available on GoFan and will be $10 per night, with children under 5 admitted free.
