Caldwell County eighth grader Landon Mitchell turned in the best round for the Tigers at Tuesday’s Region 1 golf tournament in Murray.
Mitchell shot an 84 on the Murray Country Club course, just missing qualifying for next week’s State First Round by one shot.
However, Mitchell will be an alternate for the next round, if another qualifier can’t play.
