The Lyon County Lady Lyons were looking for a win against the Murray High Lady Tigers after a tie in their last game. Unfortunately they were not able to do that, as Murray was able to get the mercy rule after four goals in each half.
Murray High was able to score four goals in the first half, taking a 4-0 lead into the break. After that, the Lady Lyons were still not able to stop the Lady Tigers, as the 8-0 mercy rule came in the second half.
As for the defensive side, Lyon County’s Richmond Herring had 10 saves in net over the course of the game.
The Lady Lyons will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Monday, September 29, against Paducah Tilghman at home. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Lee S. Jones Park.
