The Christian County Colonels soccer team was looking for a win to bounce back from a loss in their last game. Unfortunately they were unable to do that, as they lost 5-2 to Russellville on Thursday evening.
The Colonels were able to score two goals, and those came from Edgar Galvan and Jeffrey Joiner. Despite that, it was not enough to keep up with the offense of Russellville that was able to score five goals.
As for the defensive side, Hopkinsville goalkeeper Preston Gentry had 13 saves in net over the course of the game.
Christian County will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Saturday, September 27, against the Hopkins County Central Storm. The game is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Stadium of Champions soccer fields.
