The Christian County Lady Colonels remain unbeaten in 8th District play after winning their third straight match Thursday evening. The Lady Colonels picked up a straight-set win over the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers in Tiger Gym.
Hopkinsville battled the Lady Colonels tough in the first set before falling 25-21 as Christian County went up one set to none.
The Lady Colonels then had their best set of the night in the second, cruising to a 25-12 win and taking a two set to none lead.
The third set came right down to the final point before the Lady Colonels took the set 25-23 to close out the match three sets to none.
Madysen Taggart led Hopkinsville with 9 kills and 3 digs. Brooke Stewart finished with 9 assists.
Christian County (14-13) will travel across town Monday night for a big district showdown with Heritage Christian.
Hopkinsville (4-16) saw its two-match winning streak come to an end. The Lady Tigers go on the road Monday night to take on McLean County.
