The Hopkins County Central Storm came up with their highest scoring output of the season Saturday morning. Riley Dunlap found the net four times as the Storm rumbled past Christian County 10-2 at the Stadium of Champions.

Dunlap scored a PK to start the first half and ended the half with another, as Hopkins County Central took a 4-1 lead at the break.

Dominic Vignone scored off a pass from Jude Mitchell at the 8:00 and Dunlap scored a header off a pass into the box for the other two goals for the Storm.

Christian County’s goal came on a run from Dakari Harris, his fourth goal of the season for the Colonels.

The Colonels opened the second half with some momentum as Leonardo Mora Ortega scored off a rebound at the 46:00 to trim the Storm lead to 4-2.

Hopkins Central then scored off two corner kicks in 60 seconds. Jude Mitchell got the header off a corner to make it 5-2 at 47:00. Talon Stephens followed that up at the 48:00 when scored off a corner kick, extending the lead to 6-2.

That stretch appeared to open the floodgates for the Storm. Duane Meade, Judge Mitchell, Riley Dunlap, and Brennan Scott scored goals over the next 25 minutes as Hopkins County Central ended the match at 73:30.

Hopkins County Central (9-5-0) will wrap up the regular season Thursday night when the Storm hosts University Heights.

Christian County (1-11-0) will host Lyon County Tuesday in the final regular season home game in program history.
