A brutal run of the schedule late in the season saw the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons drop their 5th straight match Saturday. The Maroons went on the road and dropped a 2-1 decision to North Hardin.

The Trojans scored a goal in each half to take a 2-0 lead.

Madisonville cut the lead to 2-1 when Lou Bryant scored off an assist from Rhett Fulkerson. But that would be the end of the comeback as North Hardin picked up the homefield win.

Over the last five matches, the Maroons have taken on Bryan Station, Henderson County, McCracken County, Owensboro, and North Hardin, four of those on the road.

The Maroons (5-9-1) will close out the regular season on Tuesday when they host Apollo at Donley Field.
