Daviess County Upends Lady Maroons 4-1

A two-match winning streak for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons ended Saturday. Daviess County got off 20 shots on goal as the Lady Panthers took a 4-1 win over the Lady Maroons at Deer Park Elementary Field.

The Daviess County defense limited the Lady Maroons to just six shots on goal for the day.

The Lady Panthers also had five corner kicks for the match, while Madisonville had none.

The Lady Maroons’ goal came from Camree Young on an assist from McKinley Wilson. Young’s goal was her ninth of the season, tying her for second on the team.

Nevaeh Lindle had 8 saves in goal for the Lady Maroons.

Madisonville also got big efforts from Taylor Nelson, Nevaeh Lindle, Katelynn Howard, and Taylor Barber.

The Lady Maroons will close out the regular season Tuesday night when they host University Heights at Donley Field.
