
The Heritage Christian Lady Warriors and University Heights Lady Blazers volleyball teams were both looking to snap their losing streaks when they faced off on Saturday afternoon. And it was HCA that was able to do that in four sets.
The Lady Warriors won the first set with a score of 25-16, but UHA was able to come back and win the second 25-19. But after that it was all HCA, as they took the last two sets 25-21 and 25-8, respectively.
Bralee Fowler led the Warriors in kills with 11, Makenzie McCarty led in assists with 31 of the team’s 37, and Fowler also led in digs with 20.
As for the Lady Blazers, Gretchen Durham had all but three of the team’s set assists, and Cassidy Keller led in assists with 15.
It was also a day to honor some of the team’s best players, as Allison Craft and McCarty were honored before the game after they both have recently hit milestones with the team.
UHA will be looking to break their losing streak in their next game on Monday, September 29, against the Lady Rebels of Todd County Central on the road. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
As for the Lady Warriors, they will be hoping that they can start a win streak on Monday, September 29, against the Christian County Lady Colonels at home. Their game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Heritage Christian Academy
