Fort Campbell Runs to Best Class 1A Score at Logan County Region Preview

Running on the course that will host next month’s Class 1A Region Meet, the Fort Campbell Falcons finished in 7th place at Saturday’s Logan County Cougar Run in Russellville.

The Falcons were 51 points ahead of the next closest Class 1A school, University Heights Academy. The top runner for Fort Campbell on Saturday was Jayden Perry, who covered the 3.1-mile course in 18:37.

Ryker Kramer was 36th in 19:46, and Alexander Heinrich also came in under the 20-minute barrier with a time of 19:55, which was good for a 41st-place finish.

Lincoln Wilber finished 70th in 20:59, and Layne Barbee was 71st in 21:04.

Charlie Phillip crossed the finish line in 74th place in 21:09, while Liam Voelkel was 80th in 21:18 and Noah Flick was 81st in 21:27.

Drew McIntosh rounded out the scoring for Fort Campbell with a 140th-place finish in 24:54.

Apollo took first place in the team standings with 66 points, while Union County’s Tristan Coy won the event with a time of 16:25.
